9-12 Science Courses Requirements & Course Approval.
High School Science Course Development and Approval: Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Anatomy & Physiology, and the AP Sciences have their own frameworks and do not need to have a course approval form submitted to the Arkansas Department of Education. Other science courses (Genetics, Botany, Zoology, Oceanography, International Baccalaureate Sciences, Active Physics, Geology, Astronomy, and Meteorology) will need a course submission. Earth Science is no longer an approved course for High School. Schools with this approval will have to reapply with a Geology course or choose another course.
