To our loyal ASTA membership,


What an exciting time to be in ASTA!  ASTA is ready to light up the new year with new leadership and fresh ideas.  The Board met face to face for their Retreat in January for the first time since the Covid  began.  Members were sent a Google Form to invite them to be active contributing members to the Committees led by Officers.  Here is the Link to fill in if you haven’t filled it in already:

ASTA Membership is a beautiful blend of  new novice teachers, PreService teachers, University Science professors, veteran teachers, teachers from urban, large schools and rural, small schools.  We promote professional advancement and growth so each and every Arkansas educator has access to resources and personal support that they need to succeed.   We need all members to find their place this year to ensure our Arkansas Science educators achieve more with the Standards than ever before.   


Our membership includes- National Board Certified Teachers, PAEMST Finalists and PAEMST Winners, Arkansas Teacher of the Year Finalist for 2022, Industry STEM businesses, AIMS  teachers, AP Readers-Chem/Physics/Bio/ Env, Reviewers of the ‘24 Cambium Arkansas Science Test.  Whatever you are interested in- you can find fellow teachers to learn from and share with.  The April, ‘24 Eclipse is going to be a phenomenal event to draw attention to Science.  Don’t be left in the dark!  Keep current with what is happening in Science around your state!  Get involved today!
